02.11.2013 - NYSR Portfolio Party! Thursday February 28 At The New York AIA
Dear Friends of NYSR!
Come join us at the New York City AIA the evening of Thursday, February 28th, 5:00 to 8:00 pm,
for a very special Portfolio release party for the 7th edition of the NYSR Portfolio. This handsome edition, possibly our best one yet, is currently in very wide circulation on the desks of designers and architects all over the greater Metropolitan area. We'd like to get all of our past, present and future rendering talent /NYSR Members together to celebrate this and see some work from the book.
Our Keynote speaker will Nina Stern of Rockwell Group, one of the most successful design firms on
the East Coast. Nina will discuss what makes a successful rendering project and the ways that visual presentation is interwoven into the design strategy of an industry-leading innovator. This will be followed by remarks from Ryan Cohen, the New York principal of Neoscape and current NYSR President. Ryan will talk about the accomplishments of NYSR over the last four years and provide
a vision for the next group of NYSR officers to carry forward.
This event is being widely publicized in the NYC design community and is a great chance to come meet some potential clients who are interested the art of rendering. It is also the biggest event we've planned for a while and we'd really like to see all our Membership come out and get together this evening. Food and drink is provided. Please put it on your calendar! One note: admission at the door is restricted to those who have RSVP'd, to: Marie Hines-Cowan <email@example.com>
AIA New York is located at 532 LaGuardia Place. Admittance free with RSVP.
We will see you there! Marie, Ryan, Stephan, and Sven

07.24.2012 - Carlos Grande Wins The 2012 Portfolio Cover Competition!
We're very excited to announce the winner of our 2012 New York Society of Renderers Portfolio 7 cover competition.
Three cheers for all our NYSR Members who stepped up to contribute so many knockout images.
Our first place cover winner is Mr. Carlos Grande of Hypertecture. It is a restaurant concept rendering for Keith Mcnally, restauranteur. It is a powerful yet delicately lit depiction of one of New York's most talked-about adaptive re-use projects, the High Line public park in Chelsea, built
on an historic freight rail line. This award-winning public space has sparked much development in the area including the restaurant concept depicted in Mr. Grande's rendering.
All the judges commented very favorably on the quality and the wide variety of styles that were seen in the entries.
